DESCRIPTION:

Don't let the name fool you! The Dread and Terror segment is one of the most epic and extreme hikes around. Over 2 days you will traverse up and down from 4,280ft elevation with a final elevation decrease to 1,500ft. Many forms of flowing water make this adventure unique and exciting. This hike passes Lemolo Falls, a 102ft "horsetail-type" falls, Surprise and Columnar Falls, the Umpqua Hot Springs, Toketee Lake, Columnar Basalt formations and many other spectacular sights, making this a truly unique visual experience.

OUR TIPS:

• Poison Oak, ticks and mosquitos can be prevalent on the North Umpqua Trail. Bring repellent!
  
• The North Umpqua Trail is a high endurance hike. Make sure your body is in good working order to
• ensure an optimal hiking experience.
• Bring swim-wear! There are many opportunities to cool off.
